I’ve avoided doing this for too long. My blog title was chosen during the last recession, but I never pursued the blog.
The current recession makes it timely.
I’m often motivated to provide clarity and discussion around topics of economics and finance that the mainstream media just gets wrong, or whitewashes for lack of time. During the financial meltdown, it seems that these misconceptions appear hourly.

Way to go.
I think most of it is that they arrogantly assume that their audience is just too stupid to know the difference and will buy into their BS out of hand. Pure elitism at its core. Remind me…where is the ad revenue and stock price of the New York Times relative to a couple years ago?
And, they are just too f***ing lazy to care about reporting acurately.
